I guess you could call me a collector of sorts:)  I love fine things, always have.  Antique china or fine linens to start.   Textiles in all patterns in textures are borderline an obession.  Even picking up unique vases, one of a kind glassware or special beer bottles now and then to fill with a fresh floral arrangement is like therapy to mee.  All of these things bring a sense of nostalgia, and whimsy to any event. My daughter Danielle and a fellow designer friend of ours Beth O’Brien, can attest to my ever growing collection.  Lucky for me it is a shared interest between the three of us.

Last year Beth and Danielle joined forces to create a sweet 1st birthday for Beth’s little Beckett.  They climbed the rafters in the garage for the perfect textiles, scoured the cupboards for the ideal mixed set of china, and picked a pleasantly perfect set of glassware to build out their floral arrangements.  There are many more photos to come of this special birthday, but for now, enjoy a sneak peek of a lovely day and a brief introduction to my ridiculously loved collection of fine things.

I love this amazing fabric chandelier Beth curated from her own textile collection.  Such a wonderful piece to add to a children’s birthday party.

Though it may seem odd to have beer bottles used at a child’s birthday party… the truth is that Beckett’s daddy is quite the brew master.  It was a fun idea to bring a little manliness to the clearly all girl party.  The radiance of the green glass among all the pink and orange is just stunning.
